>>17957528well like most degrees that aren't immediately practical its a gamble but you seem to be striving towards making it work for you. your career might not start immediately after you build up your portfolio but, unless if you have had connections beforehand, nobody starts off sitting pretty. all that you can do right now is what you're already doing, it sounds like a sensible plan you have so just keep going and see where it takes you.
i can't speak for a degree in data analytics but i have met a few people that have had a specialized degree for business or something technological and have built careers on something that is only partially related to their degree. ive noticed that companies, and most people that are hiring actually, care more about the fact that you went to an institution and succeeded. even companies in third world countries need people who are trained in computers, maybe data analytics or maybe something a little different.
