They started by asking us to join groups in this big room and then we had stand up and talk about our selves. Then in the coursework guide they made it clear that the big project will be a team project and by the way don't expect to just be a nerd, you better have good soft skills if you want a job and better get started networking.
I was just not ready to deal with my axiety in joining groups, I later found its not like high school, people aren't going to go eeww if you ask to join their group. Just ask random people until someone says yes, I learned this a few years after quitting. I was just not ready for uni so I should have just got a physical job before starting but parents and other people insisted that I had to go now.
Now its a bit different, a lot of the people doing the courses don't actually give a shit about computer technology but are just doing it for the job, it used to be all nerds.
