>>21264023The movie was because it was made during the transitional Dinosaur Renaissance period. We didn't actually know if dromeosaurs had feathers, let alone the rest of dinosaurs. (With the large animal caveat I mentioned before.) There were tons of fluffy practical effects in the 80s, and protofeathers, which were more common in non-maniraptoran dinosaurs, were more like fuzz/fur than modern bird feathers.
