>>20866270>You are the reason why college costs so much and the quality of education has declined so much that truckers with CDLs make more than most mid-level college degree holders who are not explicitly STEM working in the Bay Area or finance in new yorkHow is any of that my fault? I graduated with a degree in computer science from an affordable and respectable in-state college. Don't blame me for people who aren't college material trying to go just to party and hook up with chicks. I graduated with honors and got a high paying job because I had industry certifications and credentials from a top college.
>>20866358>It's not all about money. The problem today is that too many schools is that it is all about money. So many degrees are hardly worth the paper they're printed on, let alone the cost of attending. I have a friend who went to MIT and is STILL paying off his college loans despite having a fairly high paying job. That's what happens when you got out of state for a big-name college where the cost doesn't justify the wages you'll earn upon graduation.
>>20865824>My dream was always to do athletics in a major US college and study a meme degree i would genuinely enjoy like social science. I never went through with it, and I'm afraid I will regret this forever. Not sure if I am too old now, just turned 21You are too old. Most college athletes in the US are either scouted from 5A high school programs or club sports. I was friends with two athletes from my school, one in equestrian and the other in track. Most college athletes get scouted on their last year in high school and are on what's called exiting student scholarships, which means they attend university the year after they graduate from high school.
