Blacks led to the ultimate subversion of culture through rock and roll. Entire generations of whites were lost to the promotion of gross sexuality and drug use. This was happening at the same time that colleges were introducing Marxist and progressive social ideas. I think the hubris of "We know better than our fathers - we must be tolerant and uplifting of all people and both genders regardless of their capabilities" was a huge factor.
