and what it isn't
and then if you have it
and its treatable
and you find the optimal treatment for you
you do it.
your brain chemistry is your own to figure out.
I figured it out the wrong way. Cocaine.
it got me to normal
Traded some coke for an adderall b/c why not and took the adderal one weekend to see what it did. and holy shit, by house was clean my assignments were done everything I had to do for the next two weeks was done before 10AM that day. Thats when I knew I had a problem. 18 cups of coffee a day and $1000 in sleep sanitation gear didn't do what a $3 pill did.
adderall isn't my fave anymore, b/c I went and got help from docs, at first they didn't believe me b/c IQ150 and I could pass all the tests. I couldn't tell them what I'm telling you b/c that marks you down for drug seeking behavior.
They figured I was depressed. Probably some truth to that but I'm a lot less depressed when I do all the stuff on my plate.
Any way today I like vyvanse if I'm doing busywork, and Strattera+Modafinil for creative work.
Ritalin is a different beast and doesn't work for my chemistry. I've got the warrior gene so I make too much MAO inhibitors I need a pusher like the amphetamines and eventually if I'm getting burnt out I'll need to do some weed to mellow out. It takes about 7 years to get burnt out. and then the meds won't work on you. b/c you'll have adapted. if you're lucky you'll get something done in those 7 years.
