there's supposedly thousands of working nukes ready to go, so even if those estimates were schizo i think it's still possible
the thing is, if the whole power grid goes down AT ONCE, it's extremely difficult to bring back up
in the US, the state of texas has its own power grid, separate from the two power grids (east/west) of the rest of the US. a couple years ago, it nearly failed due to all that ice n shiet, if you remember. it would've taken atleast weeks to bring back up, probably months.
