I do see that there is less atmospheric distortion after :34, but it doesn't go away. It is a localized effect.
On the zoomed-in video, the whole thing passes beyond that point and atmospheric distortion remains.
There is a lot to that phenomenon, it's how land-based telescopes and lasers correct for the atmostphere.
I totally disagree, there is no discontinuity at :34, simply a change in distortion.
