Slavic languages diverged from the group germanic languages would later arise from during the bronze age, around the time ancient Egyptians were building pyramids, more than a thousand years before germanic languages even existed, and they've been carrying R1a (instead of I1 like the Varangians) for more than 4 thousand years now. Even Finns or Balts don't look the same as nordics, why would Russians?
