then they should start doing balamce between risk and reward, like they already tore their knees to red mess 5 times so should they go carelessly run in spiky gravel downhill in their slippery shoes?
and if the kid takes a sport, any sport that may find itself on concrete or asphalt get them knee AND elbow pads
but also try to make them look cool zo the other kids don't bother them and cause your kids unnecessary frustration for justified preparation
but also don't make your kids pussies that won't leave the house without they helmet; the point is to develop good enough risk reward precaution detection system so that when they have no protection they judge their enviroment better and don't padticipate in events that have a high likelyhood of getting them to ER due to dislocated/sprained joint, or worse yet fractured bone
