>>16402852>also havent even watched a single movie throughout the entirety of 2022 so farwhat did you watch before? basically the only time i watch movies is with my younger family members so it's all the animated movies, but funny you mention it because i actually watched some movies on my own for the first time in years. the two i saw were the truman show and dark city. truman show, you probably already heard of it, i've heard of it forever but never saw it until recently, really cool premise and the movie itself was alright too. dark city, never heard of it before but basically the premise is kinda like the matrix. the matrix even shamelessly plagiarized the opening scene of dark city with how the protagonist gets a mysterious phone call warning him about these mysterious men coming to get him and he has to follow his directions to escape. it's not a great movie but the setting and tone and suspense feel really good. i heard the theatrical cut of the movie is absolute shit though. i watched the director's cut because it was strongly recommended to me and when i read about the theatrical cut it's just sad, apparently they open the movie with a monologue explaining everything to you, lol. dont wanna say too much more in case you or the 2 other guys in the world who bother to read this check out the movies
