If you want a butter smooth experience, do this. Set all of the first graphical options such as textures and shaders to high. Set shadow filtering to none (but you can enable dynamic).
Set the rest to medium, and uncheck all the fluff options down below.
It then looks sharp and crisp, while running at an average of 65 to 85 fps, even during large scale fights.
