This is the day after Easter, I believe it originally was about boys puring water on girls, but nowadays it's just free-for-all kids do, people are really unwilling to be sprinkled on, even this one day of the year and some would probably even sue you (there is a fine actually I think, I'm not sure). It's a bit saddening, but well, that's just how it is.
Overally everyone is really unfriendly and untraditional these days, I think the most Polish traditions you will see in a place would be in some American polonias. I don't know what caused that, communism? Technology? I really wish it wouldn't be like that...
