That doesn't mean it didn't affect you, because you gave your real opinion and got dismissed for it. Your ego is hurt, if just a bit. Same with anyone else. Both you and Reimu now have an extra incentive to keep responding to the threads. Not denying that you actually enjoy the discussions here, but the other thing adds as well. You now feel a bit more pressure to prove yourself. That you're not just some idiot he can endlessly bully (obviously no one wants to be treated like Yonkers). There are several ways people go about this.
