>>7523190I worked at a bank until last week -- very VERY few people have savings; all the way from 18 years old, to 25 years old, to 35 years old, to 60 years old.
It's never too late to stop being useless, I waited until I was 27. In 2 years I saved $27k, and that's with me helping my mum out to ~$1,000 on average per month over that period. It's not hard to save, some people are just really, really, really bad with money. With you being frugal for so long, you should know its worth, and not fall into those the same traps. Hell, I wouldn't even say I'm that good with money, but I never, ever lived paycheck to paycheck.
And like I said, I got a job in a bank with no prior experience what-so-ever. I didn't even know what interest was - yet I got a job as a loan officer. You just have to try, and not be scared of failure. And forget your bullshit disease, it's not real.
