>>8368849yeah there are mining ships. it's weird though because i don't think that you can actually sell ore directly, at least not for much, so you have to take on missions to go and find specific ore and bring it back to a particular station.
you also don't auto-loot the ore, you have to go fly into it with an ore collector out once you blast it off an asteroid, but apparently you can get collection limpets that do that for you
this is all from basically tutorial-level knowledge on it, so there might be more to it and/or i might have some stuff wrong
