It's a shame what certain boards have turned into, though. Take /lit/ for example, it used to be easy to strike up a conversation about a book you found interesting but in the past few years it has been overrun by people who can't seem to think for themselves. It feels like a good number of the posters there don't read at all, or if they do they only read a select few books which they feel will validate them in the eyes of the others. It has become an echo chamber, I see the same talking points and the same formulaic responses repeated again and again. It's so tiresome but most of all disappointing. It used to be my favourite place on the internet.
Anyway, I know complaining about it is pointless but I wanted to get all that off my chest. Good night.
