my main reason for just downloading movies onto a hard drive is simply because literally all media is now separated by companies and distributors. There are literally dozens of separate streaming services all owned by the same 5 media conglomerates and i have to pay separately for all their mediocre shit. Or i could just go to my favorite torrent site and get it for free on one hard drive, or a Plex server.
Nothing is more annoying when you go to a grill's house only to find the movie y'all wanted to watch isn't on cuckflix or some shit.
