He was not enveloped in celestial immunity cause that would be against his point. He HAD to become a human to show us mortals that it was not impossible to follow his steps. Otherwise we would turn away from him saying that his way of life is only possible as a God and not as human.
Also you CANT characterize God (not the Father figure, you heathen, but the whole thing!) with human traits. Its a being so far above you that it would be pointless and stupid if not straight up blasphemy. The same way people like to figure out how the world was made in XX days whithout realizing that God created time itself and thus is outside and unaffected by time.
