Picrel is acrylic, which scratches easily, but can also be polished easily. Sapphire is the toughest as far as scratches go, but can easily be shattered, it's also the most expensive. Mineral is somewhere in the middle, can be scratched, but doesn't shatter and is a pain in the butt to polish.
