Apparently all worker bees are female and the males, called drones, just fly about in an area called "drone congregation area" waiting for a virgin queen bee to come along so they can do the needful and then literally die.
Also, apparently a queen bee is basically the same as a worker bee, but instead of being fed "bee bread" they feed on "royal jelly" while being a pupa, which gives them their reproductive system. Ah and more virgin queen bees get born at the same time but they usually fight to the death so just 1 queen remains.
