It's quite funny to me; seeing someone drop THE ultimate redpills (cyclical cataclysm, nature of consciousness) in this shithole takes one by surprise. Rodger Penrose, in his last years, is extremely close to solving the riddle of consciousness (as related to the OP) without even knowing how close. He describes the outline for a paper he is writing in the latest TSC (The Science of Consciousness Conference 2020). Roughly speaking, the transition of a superposition to a point is "seamless" because the point and superposition behave as if the point travels backwards in time effectively making it so the point was the superstition all along (seamless, producing no measurable radiation). If you cannot see how this relates to consciousness, look into Roger Penrose and read The Emperors New Mind.
