We converted to Islam because we were conquered by the Ottomans for 500 years. Its very simple.
What need explaining is why Greeks, Serbs and Bulgars didnt convert. And I think its because they used to be nations with long histories of dominance in one way or another.
They all had an empire at some point and a religion tied to it. They identified with that christianity much more.
Albanians on the other hand never had an empire, had a small population and even today they seem to have a natural disinterest in religion.
When you say "converted to islam", keep in mind that we dont really follow islam in the convetional sense.
Everyone drinks, smokes and fucks. We're not "muh sharia law" like arabs or turks are. Most people dont even know what sharia is.
Also the population is only 56% of this fake brand of islam. Even statistically it barely can be called a majority muslim country.
