In modern times the country has become a slave to German debt and actively tries their best to push out all the talent. There has been a major brain drain in Spain for the past 10 years and it will only get worse. The Spanish boomers are worse than Anglo boomers and make it near impossible for a young Spaniard to get a job or live a decent life. Now you see a lot of them move to Uruguay, Mexico, Argentina and Brazil to work; if they can't get a transfer to a European country.
