>>12923667As for the Jews, God made a covenant with a people centered in the middle of Afro-Eurasia in the crossroads of the world, and set them aside as His followers to prepare for His coming Incarnation. If God is going to become Man, He has to set aside a group to be born from, and lead them to set the stage or Him. But these followers went astray by the time of the Incarnation due to their pride. They wanted to hold onto their status and authority and refused God's fulfillment of the covenant, and thus cut themselves off from the Truth. Ironically the people God chose to set aside to prepare the way for His coming became the people separated from God, while the rest of the world that had been separated from God became the chosen people. After their refusal of Christ, they continued to stay further and further into a new religion which is very different from the faith of those who came before Christ, as there is a direct continuation from the faith that predates the coming of Christ and Christianity itself, and from this perspective Judaism is actually an offshoot and corruption of Christianity and not the other way around as so many people believe.
