Before they were paid to disseminate nonsense by the DIA, people like Robert Forward and Eric Davis did (and still do) serious research into things like direct metric engineering of the quantum vacuum. If anyone is old enough and read Popular Science, remember when scientific breakthroughs like creating matter waves, graphene, sonofusion, and metamaterials where supposed to change our lives?
