>>19462921Brother, that's so fucked up that I almost think it's funny. That's exactly what I'm talking about. Shit that is not only needlessly complicated, but also doesn't even work. It's one thing for technology to be unbelievably complicated if it performs the task well, but technology doesn't even do that anymore. What we are left with is cheap Chinese shit (that's still overpriced), that collects your data, makes you pull your hair out, then doesn't even deliver on the most basic function. It's absolutely pathetic. How the fuck did we as a species manage to complicate a fucking light bulb? (Don't get me started on those globohomo light switches in houses).
>>19462925Based brother there are plenty more like us. I will build my own car before I am forced to sit in an electric 'car'. I can make anything.
One thing I deal with cleaning mansions is 'smart toilets'.
>walk into bathroom>sensor on toilet detects movement and opens the motorized lid>starts spraying itself down while playing a gay tune>LED display lights up asking for which user is about to use it>any amount of movement causes the seat to move up and down, meaning that it's impossible to clean it without being interrupted and sprayed>annoying chimes every time it does this>unplug toilet from wall (lol)>unplugged motor makes it difficult to manually lift the seat without the motor seizing up, like moving a steering wheel when in park>plug toilet back in when I'm done and it has to reboot and loses connectivity>mfw toilet costs $20kWe are definitely going backwards, brother.
