From what I heard, the pilot wasn't that great. The show has good technical aspects but the actual plot and scene-by-scene seems to be lackluster, lackadaisical even. Will the show be shit? No. It might be just okay though, and for a show that hoovered up $1,000,000+ in a week or less they're probably trying their best to make use of that money.

The people who wanted to see the show for its premise (the vast majority of people who watched the pilot and first ep) are getting burned. I and the other guy hates the gay owl shit, you and most of Viv's more deranged fans on twitter (definitely deranged given their horrible takes on the show from /co/ screencaps) like the gay owl shit. That's all there is to it.
