That tells me they're afraid of measuring themselves to it's standards because they know they'll never meet them.

Or do you accept it is largely because of your geography, place in time and your parents influence?Yeshua has been proven biologically and historically to have been born, taught about God, and crucified. Athiest and Christian scholars all agree he was a real dude. His teachings about God resonate with people because there's a startling wisdom in the way he calls people to live, and how he has mercy and compassion for those who admit they're destroying themselves through their own actions.
Also I was an atheist for 22 years before becoming Christian and I converted my family so stop assuming things about my upbringing.
