before the fight

-forget all the bullshit you ever heard someone brag about or on movies.
-a 'fist fight' is not when someone wants to 'fight you' the aim of their aggression is to fuck you up
-their aim is driven by emotion, not skill, even trained 'fighters' get clouded by this.
-the outcome of their attack is either they succeed in fucking you up or they wont, you need to know how to make sure they wont succeed
-first and foremost most AVOID confrontation cross the road etc, and if you can always EVADE. Always evade where ever possible at ALL STAGES OF THE ALTERCATION, whenever you can.
-do not try to rationalize with an emotional person who wants to fuck you up, it will fail.
-the only time you should end up in a fight is if avoiding or evading is NOT possible, because your exits are blocked.
-every confrontation you get into you body will deceive you and act in weird ways -By recognising this you'll be able to overcome it, sometimes for instance you will want to move but you legs will be stuck.
-try to recognize the ways you body deceives you write them down, and mentally prepare yourself to overcome it, for instance I always get
-tunnel vision, field of vision narrows massively to a slit,
-legs wont move
-lose some mobility from adrenaline
-stomach turns
-anger
-lose ability to hear people.
-the key is to remain rational, and not get emotional in anyway. STAY CALM ...the more you stay calm the more you will not get hurt and escape or overcome your attacker.
-if you havent already LEARN BOXING, so you know how to throw a punch with power coming from your feet and hips.
-if all possible and I mean possible ways to evade are blocked e.g.you are in an elevator, then you will have to fight to defend yourself.
