the grammar and the vocab are side by side. there's 8 classes that are all just more grammar and vocab than the last.
this semester i'm taking 1 cs, 1 gen ed, and 1 japanese class. next semester i'm planning to take 1 japanese and 3 cs classes which will fill out all my requirements for my minor. after that i'll have 2 semesters where i literally can't take anything other than 1 japanese class each. once those are out of the way though i can take upper division japanese classes too so i'll have a lot more options. the main paths are to either take 4-5 classes each for 2 semesters and graduate quickly without ever taking advanced japanese 1 and 2 or take a lighter load over 4 semesters so that i can get to the last language specific classes. that's all pretty tentative though, it doesn't account for stuff like class availability, summer classes, or various options for studying in japan which are all unclear how they'd effect the schedule
sounds like you've got people to point you in the right direction then. really basic music theory is super simple though. could learn what notes, rhythms, and scales are in an afternoon then go from there.
that's good, food making is based. not really a fan of baking in particular but i respect it
