anyway im applying my own headcanon so
lets just say that this future is indeed one where people are basically children and that its possible
this technology that is insanely advanced and keeping them alive would probably be the one that wants you dead and gone
it would likely class you as an unidentified being, observe you if it can, and deem that it doesnt want you being around this society and fucking with its balance as it has
im assuming this is an AI kind of future because i think thats where youre pointing at btw
havent read the book or watched the movie
but yea, it wouldnt be humans keeping you out then but the technology itself
you would simply not be allowed to impact these people because of the possibility of you messing with anyone's mind in a way
if these problems like homelessness and whatnot are gone, the ai would fear that you would bring them back since you come from a time where thats possible, if it somehow figures out that youre a time traveler that is, and just decide to stop you before you can do anything
if it doesnt figure out that youre a time travel then youd still be fucked cause it certainly doesnt want an insane hobo running around and talking to people
im also not assuming this ai to be the very generous and caring about individuals like you kind, just one that follows the directives its been given to keep society stable and happy
so yeah you get the point, you go into a future where everybody is children and the place is kept stable by technology, you will most likely get snuffed out by that technology therefore youre still dead
