That is why mercy and forgiveness are so important to the Christian faith, because none of us have lived a holy life, none of us have truly obeyed God's commandments.
And the reason we haven't is because we are fallen, and cannot. We have to humble ourselves, we have to admit to God that we are in this fallen state, and we need His grace to save us from it.
