However, it is also argued that Jesus chose Judas as a disciple because he knew Judas would betray him. This was part of Jesus' plan to die for our sins.
Therefore both God and Jesus knew Judas would betray them and then also know that Judas would not forgive himself and then condemn himself.
This makes free will nonexistent and thus an eternal hell cruel and all of these "tough tests" cruelty for God would already know the outcome.
