They can play both sides, but Christians are better allies. I know that their rabbis teach them that the New Testament says to hate Jews, but that's propaganda so that they won't convert. It isn't as antisemitic as Jews think.
I've argued with Jews in the past about what was written in the New Testament. Some are so brainwashed that they believe lies about the New Testament. It's crazy.
But, the most antisemitic verses come from the Gospels were written by Jews. Although, the kinds of people who I argued with were like, 'You have proof that it was written by Jews!' We do. It was
probably passed orally before written record but we have church history that shows that these Gospels are legitimate.
But, Luke is the one Gospel writer who is Gentile and he's the one who makes sure to point out that both Gentiles and Jews killed Jesus. The other three writers didn't bother doing this because they were Jews and didn't think that was necessary.
> When Herod saw Jesus, he was greatly pleased, because, for a long time, he had been wanting to see him. From what he had heard about him, he hoped to see him perform a sign of some sort. He plied him with many questions, but Jesus gave him no answer. The chief priests and the teachers of the law were standing there, vehemently accusing him. Then Herod and his soldiers ridiculed and mocked him. Dressing him in an elegant robe, they sent him back to Pilate. That day Herod and Pilate became friends—before this they had been enemies.Luke 23:8-12 NIV
