shortly after Jesus left the earth and his disciples began their ministry, Christianity started spreading like wildfire. it got so popular that in order to contain the spread, the roman government and jews conspired to "merge with it". if you can't beat them, join them. fear tactics and killing them wasn't working, so they merged with christianity instead and incorporated all of their paganism. they flipped core Christian doctrines on their head (this is known as inverted hermeneutics) and by doing so corrupted all of it...this became what is widely known as catholicisim, gnosticism etc. when you mix something pure like the truth with a lie, the truth always gets drowned out
God in the Bible had always planned for this though. he allowed it to happen and catholicism actually ended up spreading Christianity to the whole world. God knew that the wheat would grow with the tares. this is why Christianity has always had a dual interpretation. western countries have been dual catholicism/Christianity or dual freemasonry/Christianity, and this is what the whole protestant reformation was all about. true Christianity is SPIRITUAL, and the true seekers who really cared about God always found him, because they searched for him with all their hearts

i've squashed 10+ years of spiritual research into 4 or 5 images, all so that you can read everything i've discovered summarized in 15 minutes...it's hard to compress that volume of information into something cogent, so cut me some slack. if you think you can do a better job, by all means go ahead. i give you full permission to take this work and make it your own. most of this stuff comes from you guys anyway, i've just put it all together over the years. feel free to edit it for your purposes
