The other reason is because the KJV is actually the most inaccurate Bible in English. So as time went on and more ancient manuscripts were discovered scholars made new Bible translations in modern English with more accuracy in them. The KJV-Only-ist(having no scholary experience) think backwards and believe every new Bible translation is corrupt. What they are not aware of is that the KJV is the corruption and the more modern versions are actually the correct ones.
That's why The New World Translation gets so much slack because it IS way different from the KJV. But so are many modern day Bibles. That's because they have chosen accuracy over tradition.
Unlike the NIV which chose tradition over accuracy and admitted in this letter of doing just that.
