This is probably because, Matthew and Mark were jews who were trying to present Christianity as a jewish religion. While Luke and John were gentiles, who were trying to present Christianity as a gentile religion. So Luke and John make it clear that Jesus was ressurected in Jerusalem, since this was ruled by the Romans at the time, and from there the disciples went out to bring the gospels to the gentile world.
