Well, I'd say that pretty much any book is better in its original language, but that is not to say that there are no good translations to be found. When language is an important aspect of a text though, then translations will almost always prove to be inferior and disappointing. You lose a lot by reading translations of authors such as Faulkner or Nabokov.
