That's why they always say shit like once saved always saved and sola scriptura.
Orthodox don't hate Catholics because they are both rather close in terms of general philosophy of how religion should be. Orthodox Christians also don't want to be crypto-Atheists like proddies, so the existence of Catholicism isn't a constant reminder telling them "you're just fooling yourself atheist your paradise is not guaranteed at all" unlike for proddies. It's a bit like nazism and fascism got along well, but obviously didn't get along with communism.
