best friend for all of middle school and high school stopped talking to me altogether a couple years ago for no known reason. He's always been antisocial except for me and a couple others. Ever since he stopped hanging out and talking to me i will message him atleast once a week to try and get him to hang out and be friends again. well he finally messaged me back after some time. what do you make of this? only thing he's ever said before as to why we don't hang out anymore is that he's depressed. what is wrong with him or other hermits in society at large?
