It’s so ingrained that women’s brains have a neuron-dense “bridge” between the speech-comprehension and speech-production areas of the brain (Wernicke’s and Broca’s areas, respectively). That means women are literally processing language at a more surface level than men. It’s why despite their propensity for gab women have produced comparatively few poets and literary achievements.
Lying about something obvious is also how women flex social dominance in a hierarchy. Men prefer open competition. Women will lie about something, and if you’re lower than her on the totem pole, they will use their doubling down on the obvious lie to enforce that social standing.
