>>19116734>>19117564Cassie is deep in thought when she arrives back at her penthouse. A loss in her first B1 match means she needs to play catch up. It means that even at this early stage, she could find herself four points behind the leaders if she fails again. There is no doubt in Cassie’s mind that her next match is a must win contest.
And her opponent? Lillith. A woman who is bigger and stronger than her and fully capable of physically dominating her. A woman who knocked her unconscious during a backstage brawl. A woman who also lost her opening match, and will be every bit as desperate as Cassie is to turn things around. To face her now of all times, is not ideal.
But fighting bigger opponents, while no longer something Cassie finds herself doing regularly, is not new to her. No. She learned the art of combat in fight clubs back home in Ireland, as a teenage girl fighting against grown men and winning. Back then the guidance she was given was simple but effective - hit hard, hit where it hurts, and keep moving because if they catch you, it’s over. To have any chance against Lillith, she’ll have to apply that advice, and forego the power moves she learned as a wrestler.
Cassie watches the footage of Lillith’s post match interview, paying closer attention when her next opponent addresses her. Lillith’s intensity is undeniable, she certainly is an impressive beast. But if there’s one thing ‘Orange Girl’, as Lillith calls her, can take comfort in, is that Lillith’s impressive physique isn’t paired with a tactical brain like Cassie’s.
