Took a walk. Courtesy of having to.
I think I liked it, despite being all fatigued and everything. Might be why I enjoyed it, actually. I couldn't even muster up the bother to put on earbuds, which I normally would never take a walk without. Grateful for that, I really like the nighttime city noise. I forgot that I did.
Same thing has happened before a couple or so times. I just like the experience of having to drag myself through empty streets, barely being able to. I don't worry about anything, just the goal of picking up whatever from the store and going home. It's relaxing in that way. Sort of like walking over to the kitchen and back after waking up dehydrated. Not as urgent, but as thoughtless.
Mood of it's own, I guess. I had my eyes closed for half of it. (Which is a very nice thing to do when on walks, actually. It's a bit scary at first, still is to me, to not being able to see where you're going, but it just feels really nice when you finally open them after about 10 or so seconds of walking blind. Everything looks new and fresh in a way, as if you've just woken up half a second ago. I recommend trying it. Oh, but I think it's only that good when you're not listening to any music and the sun isn't up. You want to be able to take in the city sounds, but not the ones of the daytime. But maybe that's just my taste.)
The fresh air was really nice, also. I don't get to go outside at nighttime much, for a bunch of reasons, but I think it's infinitely better than the daytime. The smell is nicer, the air feels much fresher, it's less populated and more calm, the scenery is great because I like all the lights but at the same time the less illuminated areas, it just makes me feel happy to be out in the night. I really hope I can do it more often one day.
Plus, copped myself some strawberry milk. Only a single carton, but I feel content with that.
Anyhow. Doing that sucked the little bit of energy out of me, so, back in bed. Maybe a nap.
