I was reading into this topic because I was interested in ww2 technology, and intrigued to find the German's were at least 25 years ahead in terms of innovation. Of note, that I found was a remote controlled miniature tank on treads, that detonated when in position. The 'wing aircraft' of the Horton brother's design only equalled by the b2 bomber developed nearly 50 years later.
