Betty has a great community overall, but you guys are being too compassionate here. The man tried driving to Betty's address and caused her to have to get a restraining order and probably a bunch of other things she didn't mention. He absolutely refused to get help, so it's better that he's gone before he was able to act out whatever was in his head and physically harm Betty or someone else. It's not like he was some poor lovesick fan.
I'm guessing that the guy didn't even like Betty, he's just a narcissist and saw being rejected by Betty as some kind of attack on him and couldn't let it go.
