>>21293844Coco is distinctly unamused by Araya’s response, and starts to hiss venom in Nikki’s head.
>Kiddy stuff, she called our training kiddy stuff! And she’s being vague about our future too!>We should kill two birds with one stone here, Nikki. Show her how effective the training is by beating the information out of her! Do it!But Nikki had other ideas. Araya needed to be fresh for her match. Besides, if knowing the manner of her demise in the future wouldn’t guarantee the possibility of changing it, then maybe it’d be best not to know.
“Ok, Araya. You want to know how things are REALLY done? I’ll tell you. Girls come to this business, wide eyed and full of hopes and dreams. But then there’s always someone, someone on the other side of the ring that you just can’t seem to surpass.”
“And it leaves you at a crossroads. We’ve all been there. Some double down on their silly little optimistic dreams of making it to the top with hard work and a smile. But the rest of us, we evolve, we change, we develop a killer instinct. Because wrestling, it’s not really just a battle of strikes and holds, it’s mental.”
“Your opponent? Maaike? She’s a dojo dork. She’s big, she’s strong, but I’ve seen a dozen girls like her. They never amount to anything because they don’t have it up here,” she points at her head.
“She’ll come into the match wanting to show the world how after losing every match she’s ever had, a bit more HARD WORK in the gym or whatever can pay off with her very first win. But you, you need to go in there wanting to fuck her up. Because that killer instinct I told you about is what matters most.”
“Doesn’t matter how you do it, you need to get your mindset into that zone. Think of someone you hate and picture their face over hers. Or maybe cut a promo and say something that’ll piss her off enough to say something back that’ll piss you off.”
Nikki whips out her phone and prepares to record a video. “Yeah let’s do that. You’re up, Araya.”
