There is good and bad to every culture. In Star Trek, more good survives than bad. Pro-human traits are fostered and encouraged, while the degenerate, anti-social traits are not. So, there are more high quality people who are then supported and encouraged to be the best versions of themselves, in Star Trek. The plagues of poverty and senseless violence, are gone from Earth.
