I'm guessing it's in Europe too, so you'd have to change things around a bit from the actual history. But I have to say you couldn't have chosen a better time period for fantasy. The idea of magic existing alongside pike and shot is super neat. That's what I'm trying to go for in my own but with more actual magic than pseudo science
The alien bit seems interesting too from an experimental perspective. If I were to write an alien, I would want it to be as for from anything recognizable to us as possible. I would love to read it if it's like that

At least in vernacular you run into those phrases all the time in English, so I was wondering if it was the same across other languages or if English might be unique in that sense. But if yours are hard to translate, just the gist of them is fine too
