pretty admirable for a tribal people I can't think of any other tribal people that were as smart except maybe native americans but they didn't understand the concept of forts and siege warfare combined with musketry. Maori were almost made for warfare and it shows today they enjoy getting in fistfights and usually have a big smile on their faces when they fight one another.
